Male Thank You card

Here is a card that I came up with that would be more appealing to a male. I really struggle when I have to create a card for a male.
This card was created using the Animal Kingdom cart from Provo Craft. I also used the Cuttlebug with the Polka Dots embossing folder to emboss the background that the snake is on.
I used black card stock to mount this on, so I had to put a piece of white paper on the inside of the card for a place to write a message. I created the word by using Sure Cuts a Lot and welding the letters. I can't remember which font I used. If you are interested in the cut file of the word "thankssss", leave a comment with your email address and I can send it to you.

Thanks A Melon card

This card was made using the Just Because cart from Provo craft. I added a little bling by putting dots of pink stickles on the letters spelling Melon and some black stickles to highlight the seeds in the slice of melon.

My Birthday waterfall card

Here is a waterfall card I created for a birthday. The card opens to the left like most cards, but on the front there are four separate images to see. To view the additional images you need to gently pull on the gingham ribbon at the bottom center and the first image will slide away revealing the second image.

This is the second image. You can see that the first image has lifted up.

This is the third image. You can see that I stamped a message on the pull down strip that is revealed as you view the additional images.

And finally the fourth image.

This is another version of the waterfall card that I made. It works just like the previous card. I just used different papers to create it.

Graduation Card

Here is a graduation card that I made for my niece who just graduated from High School.
I used the Create a Critter cart from Provo Craft

Creating a Game for school

My son had to create a game to play in class with his classmates which followed the theme of snowboarding. Here is what we ended up with.

This is the game board. It was designed similar to the Candyland game. I let my son do most of the writing and drawing on the board.

The game pieces were made from the Everyday Paper Dolls cart from Provo Craft and I used the clothes for the snow skier. The snowboard that each piece is glued to was cut using a shape from George & Basic cart that I stretched to a snowboard shape and cut from card stock then covered with the correct color of paper for each person.

The deck of cards was made by taking a picture of the four moving pieces and printing it onto card stock wallet size then cutting them to wallet size.

My son wrote the instructions on the back of each card and we laminated them.

I took an unfinished wooded box covered the top with scrapbooking paper and added another skier on top. This was used to store the skiers and the deck of cards.

Movie Night

My son's teacher invited his class to her parents house to watch the movie "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" after reading the book in class. I made this box of popcorn and Thank You card as a gift to give to her parents.

The "popcorn" is really just yellow tissue paper cut into circles, then gathered a little and glued down to the lid. I took a brown ink pad and lightly dabbed the "popcorn" to make it look more realistic.

I cut the popcorn box using the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cart from Provo Craft and the Thank You card in the shape of a ticket was cut from the Disney Mickey Font cart, I had to improvise to make a card from the cut. The letters also came from this same cart.

This is a picture of the "popcorn" opened, I had to create my own lid by trial and error. As you can see, the real treats (candy bars) are inside the popcorn container.

I purchased a few different candy bars, wrapped them with thin scrapbooking papers and cut out the words from several fonts using my cricut carts.

I was surprised at how cute this turned out!

Teacher's end of year gift

I made a set of Thank You cards for my son to give to his teacher as an end of school year gift, teachers are always in need of Thank You cards.

This is the set of cards in a plastic box. I added a strip of purple paper around it, attached a flower that I inked with green metallic ink then put the teacher's monogram on the flower. The skunks were cut from the Create a Critter cart from Provo Craft.
This is one of the cards from the six that I included in the pkg.

Here is another card from the set. I hope she loves them!

Pink Poodle Thank You card

Here is a card I made with the Create A Critter cart from Provo Craft. I had to add some stickles for a little bling around her neck and to the bows in her hair.
I think she is so cute!

My Fathers Day Card-Part 1

Here is a picture of my Fathers Day card folded to fit into an envelope. See the previous post to see the card when it is "opened". To open the card, you pull on the little silver circle at the top left of the card.

I created the golf bag and clubs in Provo Crafts Design Studio using the George & Basics cart and created the words in SCAL.

My Fathers Day Card-Part 2

Here is a picture of the card "opened". The next post shows the card closed to fit into an envelope.

My first blog post

Here goes nothing. I am new to blogging and have a lot to learn. I hope to post several of my scrapbooking and card making projects on this site.
